Hello, my name is Abraham Myers, and I am the Picking Pythagorean. The Picking Pythagorean is a channel for all who love music of any kind. It is dedicated to the teaching and understanding of music in all its forms, and to the study of the very vibrations that make up the architecture of our universe and spirit. Pythagoras was one of the first to study the numbers and music of the universe. By starting with one note, finding its fifth, and then taking that note and finding its fifth, he discovered the twelve tone system we use today. Pythagoras believed that the universe itself was built on these harmonious vibrations. Those who studied with him were called Pythagoreans. Therefore, we begin a new chapter in the search for the fundamental building blocks of the universe. I leave you with a quote from Pythagoras himself: “There is geometry in the humming of the strings, there is music in the spacing of the spheres.”
